Heavydrive has built a strong reputation in Europe and has already established initial customer relationships in the United States. The company is now entering the next phase of its international expansion by building a dedicated U.S. presence.
The position
As Technical Sales Manager, you will be Heavydrive’s first hire in the United States and play a central role in establishing and developing the business. This is a highly entrepreneurial position combining technical sales, market development, and strategic execution.
You will operate in a hybrid role, balancing the development of existing customer relationships with new business acquisition (approximately 60% account management and 40% new business development).
The position offers significant autonomy and the opportunity to directly influence the company’s market entry strategy and long-term success in the U.S.
Key responsibilities
Market development and strategy
- Develop and implement the U.S. go-to-market strategy
- Identify target segments within façade construction and glass installation
- Generate market insights and provide structured feedback to headquarters
Sales and account management
- Manage and expand existing U.S. customer relationships
- Identify and acquire new customers
- Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline
- Develop partnerships and potential distribution structures
Technical sales and advisory
- Act as a technical advisor to customers, understanding project specifications such as weight, dimensions, and installation requirements
- Translate technical capabilities into tailored customer solutions
- Support proposal development, pricing, and contract negotiations in close collaboration with headquarters
Operational execution
- Represent the company at industry trade shows and customer meetings
- Deliver technical presentations where relevant
- Contribute to the setup of scalable sales processes and structures in the U.S.
- Support both equipment sales and rental activities
Growth and expansion
- Play a leading role in building the U.S. business
- Contribute to the development of partnerships and local infrastructure
- Support future team build-up (expected within 2–3 years)
Profile
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical B2B sales
- Proven track record in managing complex sales cycles and closing deals
- Experience within the U.S. market is required
- Experience in first-hire, market entry, or build-up roles is a plus
Industry knowledge
- Experience in façade construction, glass installation, or a related technical environment
- Strong understanding of solution-based selling for complex applications
Skills and competencies
- Ability to combine technical understanding with commercial acumen
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Experience with CRM systems and structured sales processes
- Ability to manage long sales cycles and multiple stakeholders
