What Are We Hiring For?

As we accelerate our growth in the Staffing market, we’re looking for a Team Lead Sales who will both drive individual sales performance and lead a small team of 4 Account Executives. This role is ideal for a high-performing staffing sales professional who is ready to take the next step into leadership while remaining hands-on in business development and revenue generation. You will be responsible for generating contract and contract-to-hire opportunities while mentoring, coaching, and driving the performance of your team to exceed commercial targets.

 

Key Responsibilities

Individual Sales & Business Development

  • Develop and grow a strong book of business for professional staffing services
  • Identify and secure new clients and job orders through cold calling, in-person meetings, networking, and digital outreach
  • Build and nurture long-term relationships with prospects and clients
  • Act as a trusted advisor to address workforce challenges
  • Deliver tailored sales presentations and proposals
  • Create and successfully execute a personal sales plan
  • Conduct regular follow-ups to ensure successful delivery and uncover additional opportunities
  • Collaborate with the recruitment team to ensure client requirements are met
  • Provide clear job specifications and feedback to recruiters
  • Monitor placement quality and resolve issues proactively
  • Track and report sales activities, pipeline progress, and revenue in CRM
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of client interactions and contracts

 

Team Leadership & Performance Management

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of 4-6 Account Executives
  • Monitor clear performance expectations, KPIs, and activity targets
  • Conduct regular 1:1 meetings, pipeline reviews, and performance coaching sessions
  • Support team members in strategic account planning and deal closing
  • Provide hands-on guidance in client meetings and negotiations when needed
  • Drive accountability for sales activity, margin targets, and new client acquisition
  • Identify training and development needs; support onboarding of new hires
  • Foster a collaborative culture between Sales and Recruitment
  • Monitor team gross margin performance and implement improvement strategies
  • Report team performance and forecasts to senior leadership
  • Lead by example through strong personal production and professionalism

 

What We’re Looking For

  • 7+ years of experience in the staffing industry (including contract staffing)
  • Proven track record of high gross margin achievements and margin improvement
  • Demonstrated experience mentoring or leading other sales professionals
  • Subject matter expertise in manufacturing, high-tech, construction, mobility, energy, or a related industry
  • Strong new client acquisition track record
  • Experience generating project-based staffing leads
  • Strong sales and negotiation skills with consistent closing ability
  • Ability to balance individual production with leadership responsibilities
  • Data-driven mindset with experience managing pipeline metrics
  • High level of ethics, integrity, and accountability
  • Able to work in a hybrid environment – at least 1 day per week in-office after training
  • Willing and able to travel throughout the Southeast, occasionally overnight
