You will be part of an innovative global leader in advanced and sustainable post-consumer resin materials and dispersions based on PVB (Polyvinyl Butyral) from broken windshields (laminated glass). About the role

As the Sales Manager for waterborne PVB dispersions, you will take on an entrepreneurial role and be responsible for increasing sales of PVB dispersions throughout North America. Shark’s business model is proven, profitable, and successful, with several blue-chip clients and a strong pipeline of leads. You’ll sell into various industries including paints, coatings, inks, floor coverings, textiles, and construction. Your role will involve working closely with potential customers to seamlessly integrate Shark Solutions into their operations. Collaborating with Shark Solutions’ production and chemical R&D teams will be crucial to support custom applications and respond to market trends. We look for a candidate with a proactive, “hunter” mentality and a solid track record in industrial technical solution sales. Your ability to spot opportunities, grow and develop a pipeline of qualified leads, and turn them into long-term relationships at all organizational levels will be vital to your success. This role reports directly to the company’s Sales Director. It is remote and requires travel up to 50%, mainly within North America, with some international travel possible.

 

Main Tasks & Responsibilities
  • Drive sales growth with new customers through key account management and direct sales of sustainable PVB products, including through sales agents and distributors.
  • Deliver sales targets based on key performance metrics.
  • Effectively promote and communicate the high-quality value proposition of Shark Solutions as a supplier of alternative and sustainable raw PVB materials.
  • Function as a technical advisor, educating and supporting customers and prospects with the data and information needed to formulate and design their processes for recycled PVB products.
  • Provide timely and accurate proposals to customers, including information on pricing, delivery, terms and conditions of sales, and negotiation and commercial agreements.
  • Track and record all customer and prospect interactions, including producing forecasting reports as well as monthly activity reports utilizing the company’s CRM software.
  • Keep informed on industry news and trends, products, services, competitors, relevant information about legacy, existing, and emerging technologies, and the latest product-line developments

 

What we expect from you
Your Work Experience & Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering or related field of study
  • Min. of 10 years of proven technical sales experience. A strong background in paints, coatings, or chemical raw material sales is highly desirable.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of various business functions, operations, and processes, including sales & marketing, customer service, logistics, supply chain, and finance.
  • Proven ability to effectively identify and communicate with key decision-makers to close sales.
  • Proven ability to develop and deliver compelling presentations to audiences of varying sizes.
  • Experience negotiating and understanding complex contracts.
  • Experience from working in a multi-cultural, global company is a plus.
  • Excellent command of the English language is essential. Spanish fluency is highly desirable.
