The Role
The successful candidate will step into a high-impact commercial leadership role at the center of one of the group’s three strategic growth initiatives: accelerating our client penetration of the North American Pharma market. This role offers the opportunity to build trusted relationships with leading pharmaceutical, biotech, and Cell and Gene Therapy customers, positioning our client’s advanced aseptic fill/finish and isolation technologies as critical solutions for their most demanding manufacturing challenges.
This role will focus on CAPEX sales of our client Aseptic Fill/Finish and Isolation technology solutions across Pharma and Cell and Gene Therapy applications in North America. The portfolio includes advanced solutions for aseptic fill/finish of vials, syringes, and cartridges; liquid and powder API filling; custom R&D isolators; potent API processing isolators; modular sterility testing isolators; ATEX isolators; Baby Phill small-batch vial filling; ValueCell Fill for closed-bag filling; fully automated end-to-end filling systems; Speedy Glove testers; and VPHP sterilization. The successful candidate will translate this highly specialized technology portfolio into compelling customer value, helping customers improve sterility assurance, operational performance, and confidence in critical manufacturing environments.
This person will own and develop strategic Key Accounts across North America, driving the sale of our client Pharma and Cell and Gene Therapy solutions to both existing and prospective customers. Acting as a trusted commercial partner, the Sales Manager will be the first point of contact for customers and will remain closely involved before, during, and after project development, ensuring that customer needs are understood, translated into the right technical solution, and supported through a strong long-term relationship.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own revenue growth across assigned Key Accounts and territory, balancing the expansion of existing customer relationships with the acquisition of new accounts. Drive business development efforts to expand our client’s presence in the North American Pharma and Cell & Gene Therapy markets
- Build and execute targeted market-development plans, including customer scouting, lead generation, conference participation, dedicated presentations, digital outreach, networking, publications, social media activity, and collaboration with Marketing to strengthen the Company’s visibility and credibility in the North American Pharma and Cell and Gene Therapy ecosystem.
- Partner with the Sales Director Pharma, the VP of Sales and Marketing, Product Management, and technical teams to launch new Pharma and Cell and Gene Therapy solutions in North America, bringing structured market feedback into the organization to refine value propositions, competitive positioning, and future solution improvements.
- Prepare Pharma and Cell & Gene Therapy quotations with our client’s systems (e.g., Salesforce, Fusion, Word, Excel).
- Be available for regular travel across North America to engage customers, attend industry events, support project development, and build a strong commercial presence in the territory.
- Customer Relationship Management: Deliver maximum customer satisfaction while proactively handling customer concerns and elevating customer issues when required to the next level of the client’s management.
EXPERIENCE – REQUIRED
- Bachelor’s degree or post-secondary education in engineering, microbiology, or business
- Proven experience selling capital equipment, advanced technology solutions, or complex systems into pharmaceutical, biotech, aseptic manufacturing, laboratory, or Cell and Gene Therapy environments, with the ability to translate technical capabilities into clear customer value for North American customers.
- Demonstrated knowledge of sales and marketing techniques and financial principles
- Demonstrated effective negotiation skills, representing the company’s long-term business requirements on multi-year contracts
- Strong ability to manage complex sales cycles, prioritize multiple opportunities, communicate strategically with internal stakeholders, and develop account strategies and project-specific win strategies for high-value CAPEX opportunities.
- Fluent English, written and spoken, is required; Italian language skills are considered an asset, particularly for collaboration with our client’s global headquarters and technical teams.
- Technical proficiency/capability in using Sales Force Microsoft Office tools
- Effective verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
