Our client, RMG Steel, is seeking a Sales Manager – North America to drive business growth and expand market presence across North America. Founded in Denmark and part of Granly Group, RMG Steel is a global steel fabrication supplier with decades of experience in precision metal fabrication and manufacturing. Their group operates across China, Poland, the United States, Mexico, and Denmark. The company delivers high-quality fabricated components in carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum, serving industries such as energy, industrial machinery, transportation equipment, agriculture, construction, and other heavy industrial sectors. RMG Steel combines global manufacturing capabilities with local customer support. About The Role

As Sales Manager – North America, you will be responsible for driving new business development and expanding RMG Steel’s footprint across the North American market. This is a highly entrepreneurial role focused on identifying, pursuing, and capturing new opportunities across multiple industries. You will work closely with customers to understand technical requirements and translate them into manufacturable solutions, acting as the bridge between customer needs and RMG’s global production capabilities. To be successful, you should be comfortable working independently within a small US team, taking ownership, and helping create structure as the business grows.  We expect you to be proactive and able to operate effectively without extensive layers of local support, daily supervision, or a large US sales infrastructure already in place. This role reports directly to the Vice President and offers flexibility to work remotely within the US (preferably Las Vegas). Up to 50% of travel is to be expected.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Identify, pursue, and develop new business opportunities across North America
  • Prospect actively through direct outreach, networking, industry research, trade shows, referrals, and other business development channels
  • Build and maintain a qualified sales pipeline for fabricated steel, stainless steel, and aluminum components and constructions
  • Target a wide range of industries and applications where RMG Steel’s manufacturing capabilities can provide value
  • Develop relationships with purchasing teams, engineers, project managers, operations leaders, executives, and other key decision-makers
  • Understand customer needs, technical requirements, drawings, specifications, RFQs, production expectations, and commercial concerns
  • Work with internal teams to evaluate opportunities, determine project fit, and support the quoting process
  • Present proposals, pricing, lead times, logistics considerations, and commercial terms to prospective customers
  • Support negotiations and help move opportunities from early-stage discussions to long-term business relationships
  • Maintain clear and accurate internal reports regarding customer activity, pipeline status, quotes, forecasts, and follow-up actions
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, industry opportunities, and potential new customer segments
  • Travel as needed for customer visits, trade shows, supplier meetings, and internal company meetings
  • Represent RMG Steel professionally and uphold their values of integrity, responsibility, flexibility, respect, quality, and teamwork

 

What We Expect from You

Your Work Experience, Education, Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree, technical degree preferred
  • Min. 7 years of experience in B2B technical sales, ideally within steel, metals, or industrial manufacturing
  • Proven track record of driving new business and revenue growth
  • Experience in steel fabrication, metal components and construction, industrial products, construction materials, machinery, equipment, or related industries is strongly preferred
  • Strong network and ability to open doors with new customers
  • Ability to understand and discuss technical manufacturing processes and component specifications
  • Experience working with RFQs, engineered solutions, and custom fabrication is a plus
  • Highly self-motivated and comfortable working independently in a lean organization
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to build structure and processes as the business grows
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Willingness to travel nationally as needed
