Position
The Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring that both Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) activities are effectively executed throughout the plant. The role focuses on developing and maintaining quality standards, driving continuous improvement, supporting production teams, and ensuring compliance with customer and regulatory requirements. Support for this position will be provided by the Italian Headquarters and/or the Quality Supervisor. Initial training will include at least 3 months of shadowing a senior Quality Engineer.
Key Responsibilities
Development & Implementation (QA + QC)
- Develop, maintain, and implement control procedures, inspection protocols, and documentation based on Customer Control Plans.
- Ensure proper deployment of quality standards across all production areas
- Train operators and technicians on quality procedures, inspection methods, and control systems
- Maintain quality documentation, including Control Plans, FMEAs, Process Flows, and inspection records.
Analysis & Continuous Improvement
- Monitor, interpret, and improve quality KPIs
- Conduct structured root-cause analyses (RCA) for internal and customer defects (8D, 5 Why, Ishikawa).
- Manage scrap and rework processes, ensuring proper workflow, documentation, and traceability
- Verify the effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions and drive continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.).
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, maintenance, design, and supply chain teams to resolve quality issues.
- Participate in daily operations meetings to help define priorities and drive action plans
- Interface with customers and suppliers, supporting failure analysis, corrective actions, and quality reviews.
- Coordinate with procurement and supplier quality to manage supplier-related non-conformances.
Compliance & Standards
- Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949) and customer- specific requirements.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and leading corrective action implementation.
- Maintain an audit-ready environment through continuous updating of procedures and records
- Uphold safety, regulatory, and environmental requirements in all quality activities
Training & Support Structure
- Initial Training:
- Minimum of 3 months shadowing a senior Quality Engineer to gain hands-on experience with processes, tools, and customer standards.
- Ongoing Support:
- Continuous guidance and escalation support from the Italian Headquarters.
- Daily operational support and supervision from the Quality Supervisor.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Internal defect and customer complaint reduction

- Quality training completion and adherence on the shop floor
Profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Industrial Engineering, or related field
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred
- Knowledge of QA/QC methodologies and inspection practices is a plus
- Familiarity with quality tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, Control Plans).
- Knowledge of measurement instruments, inspection techniques, and GD&T.
- Proficiency in root-cause analysis and problem-solving methodologies
- Adept with Microsoft Office; ERP/MES experience beneficial
- Strong analytical and critical-thinking abilities
- Effective communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to multitask and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
- High attention to detail with a proactive mindset
