P&ID/ISO Drafting Specialist

We are seeking a proactive and detail-driven professional to take full ownership and accountability for the integrity and accuracy of the project’s P&IDs, as well as the implementation of red lines and edits to the isometric drawings and other mechanical deliverable drawings. This role will serve as the primary steward of mentioned documentation, ensuring that drawings in Autodesk Plant 3D are continuously updated to reflect both existing conditions and approved future modifications and will work with a document control specialist to upload and distribute and archive files and revisions appropriately.

The drafting specialist will also lead future as-built walk-down reviews (capturing field changes) and drive timely updates to the drawings. Utilization of Revu Bluebeam or equivalent software will be key as some work will happen outside of the AutoDesk environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft, revise, and update P&IDs in Autodesk Plant 3D based on existing plant documentation and findings from future as-built walk-downs.
• Implement design changes identified during engineering reviews and field reviews into the project P&ID database.
• Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and field teams to ensure drawings accurately reflect as-built conditions.
• Manage and maintain a live BlueBeam session to facilitate real-time markups and team collaboration.
• Assist with other drafting or documentation tasks as assigned to meet project goals.
• Adhere to company standards, workflows, and quality assurance procedures.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Autodesk Plant 3D with a strong understanding of P&ID drafting.
• Experience in interpreting engineering drawings and performing as-built walk-downs.
• Familiarity with BlueBeam Revu for collaboration and markup.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a cross-functional project team.
• Prior experience in industrial facilities or plant environments is preferred.
• Strong communication skills for coordinating with engineering, operations, and field personnel.
• High preference for technical degree in drafting, engineering, or industrial fabrication.

Contract Details

• Duration: 6 months, with potential for extension based on project needs.
• Location: McDonough, GA / Atlanta, GA. Both options available.
• Schedule: Full-time during standard business hours, with optional flexibility if planned.
• Competitive hourly/contractor rate commensurate with experience.
