To support our growing service organization, we are looking for an experienced Field Service Technician with strong mechanical and electrical skills.
Your Role
As a Field Service Technician, you will install, commission, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair industrial machinery at customer locations throughout the United States.
This is a highly hands-on position for someone who enjoys solving technical problems, working independently, and interacting directly with customers. The role requires extensive travel and occasional international travel.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and commission new machinery at customer sites
- Diagnose equipment failures and complete timely repairs
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Troubleshoot Allen Bradley and Siemens PLCs
- Read and interpret electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic schematics
- Provide customers with remote and telephone-based technical support
- Analyze technical problems and identify effective solutions
- Communicate with manufacturing facilities regarding diagnostics and repair procedures
- Complete and submit accurate service reports
- Maintain a professional, customer-focused approach on-site
- Perform additional service-related duties as required
What You Bring
- Professional experience in a mechanical, electrical, or electromechanical trade
- Strong electrical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Experience servicing automated machinery or industrial equipment
- Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Ability to read electrical, electronic, and hydraulic schematics
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Independent, proactive, and results-oriented work style
- Clear communication and customer service skills
- Familiarity with industrial production environments
- Working knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding work
- Willingness and ability to travel more than 80% of the time
Position Details
- Employment type: Full-time
- Work location: Customer sites and home office
- Candidates located near Beacon Falls, Connecticut, may also work from the local facility
- Schedule: Primarily Monday through Friday
- Some weekend work may be required
- Extensive domestic travel with occasional international travel
