The role:

 

The Field Service Technician will support the installation, commissioning, and ongoing technical service of equipment at customer sites. This role is responsible for ensuring successful equipment installation, performance, providing on-site technical care and support after-sales activities, specifically troubleshooting.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Install, start up, commission, and validate equipment at customer facilities,
  • Test and verify machine performance in compliance with technical, contractual, and safety requirements
  • Diagnose technical issues, manage non-conformities, and ensure proper documentation and follow-up
  • Prepare job progress documentation, technical reports, and activity summaries
  • Deliver customer training and provide technical support during and after the warranty period
  • Identify and communicate potential after-sales service opportunities while on-site
  • Execute troubleshooting activities and provide clear technical reporting

 

Qualifications & Experience

 

 

  • Ideally, 2–3 years of hands-on field service or commissioning experience
  • Proven experience as an electrician, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
  • Knowledge of electrical codes, safety standards, and troubleshooting techniques
  • Hands-on experience with installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Working knowledge of PLC systems (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, B&R) a plus
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the United States and overseas (Italy) for training required
  • A Valid driver’s license and passport are required
