SIPA North America, based in Atlanta, GA, supports customers across the U.S. and Canada through advanced packaging technologies and dedicated local expertise.

 

The Role:

 

Our client is seeking a Director of Sales – North America to drive the company’s market growth and revenue across the region. This pivotal role leads business development, customer engagement, and strategic market expansion for our clients’ full range of packaging solutions.
The Director will develop and execute sales strategies, manage key accounts, identify new business opportunities, and work closely with global and local teams to achieve sales and profitability targets. This position requires a technically skilled, results-driven professional with a strong background in industrial machinery or packaging equipment sales. Extensive travel (50–75%) is expected.

The Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy & Execution

 

Develop and implement sales strategies aligned with the client’s global objectives.
Drive regional market penetration and achieve annual sales and profitability targets.
Promote the client’s turnkey capabilities—design, mold, machinery, and full-line solutions.
Identify and secure new business opportunities, including cold-calling and greenfield development.
Deliver persuasive presentations, proposals, and contract negotiations with a focus on value and profitability.
Maintain accurate CRM data, pipeline tracking, and reporting for forecasting and planning.

 

Business Development & Customer Management

 

Build and strengthen relationships with existing customers and key accounts.
Expand market presence across the U.S. and Canada in targeted industries.
Represent the client at trade shows, conferences, and client events.
Collaborate with after-sales and project management teams to ensure timely and successful project execution

Market Intelligence & Collaboration

 

Conduct market and competitor analysis to identify trends and opportunities.
Provide feedback to global teams on product development, pricing, and market needs.
Work closely with international colleagues to ensure alignment with the client’s strategic direction.

 

Leadership & Administration

 

Act as a visible, results-oriented leader within the organization and industry.
Submit timely sales reports, forecasts, and budget updates.
Support after-sales service improvement and payment collection efforts when required.

 

Qualifications & Experience:

 

10+ years of experience in capital equipment or high-speed industrial machinery sales (PET packaging or beverage equipment preferred).
Strong understanding of injection molding, blow molding, filling lines, and related technologies.
Proven ability to develop new customers and close complex, high-value deals.
Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, Economics, or a related field (MBA a plus).
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and CRM platforms.
Fluent in business English; Italian or Spanish a plus.
Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license and international passport.
