CNC Machinist

We are seeking an experienced CNC Machinist with strong expertise in milling and/or turning operations to support high-volume production in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for a journeyman-level machinist (8–10+ years of experience) who can operate independently, mentor others, and potentially step into a lead role.
You will be responsible for machining precision components using CNC equipment, ensuring quality standards, and supporting production efficiency across a diverse range of industrial applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC mills and/or lathes (Haas preferred)
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications
- Monitor machining processes to ensure quality, precision, and tolerance compliance
- Perform routine adjustments and troubleshooting to maintain production efficiency
- Support continuous improvement efforts on the shop floor
- Assist with training or mentoring junior machinists (lead-level candidates)
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment
Qualifications
- 8–10+ years of CNC machining experience (journeyman level)
- Strong experience with:
- CNC Mills and/or Lathes
- 3-axis machining (required)
- Exposure to 4th/5th axis (preferred)
- Ability to work with a variety of materials, including:
- Composites
- Plastics (woven glass experience preferred but not required)
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Experience not required, but a plus
- Manual machining
- Laser cutting
- Panel saws (Akuma)
- Routers (Komo)
- Water jets (Hypertherm)
Schedule
- 1st Shift: 4:30 AM – 3:00 PM
- 2nd Shift: 3:30 PM – 2:30 AM
- Standard schedule:
- Monday–Thursday (40 hours)
- Friday (10 hours)
- Overtime:
- 10+ hours per week typical
- Weekend OT (voluntary, may become required)
