Sr. Manufacturing Engineer

YER HR Solutions is representing the search for a highly driven Senior Manufacturing Engineer supporting next-generation aerospace and defense propulsion systems.
This is a hands-on, high-visibility engineering role operating at the intersection of manufacturing, design, testing, and mission execution. You will help develop and scale advanced turbine engine production processes supporting critical national defense applications.

What You’ll Be Driving
- Lead manufacturing engineering initiatives supporting advanced aerospace propulsion systems
- Develop and optimize assembly processes, work instructions, tooling, and production workflows
- Drive lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency, quality, and throughput
- Own manufacturing solutions from concept through validation and implementation
- Support production build activities directly on the manufacturing floor
- Establish and track key production metrics including takt time, cycle time, yield, and throughput
- Partner cross-functionally with Design Engineering, Quality, Operations, and Test teams
- Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective actions
- Support production scalability in a rapidly evolving manufacturing environment
- Mentor technicians and junior engineers while helping establish manufacturing engineering best practices
What Makes You a Strong Fit
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Industrial, or related Engineering discipline
- 10+ years of manufacturing engineering experience within complex hardware or high-performance production environments
- Strong hands-on engineering mindset with the ability to move between strategy and execution
- Experience with lean manufacturing, process improvement, and production optimization
- Familiarity with ERP, PLM, and MES systems
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 environments
- Comfortable operating in fast-paced organizations where initiative and problem solving are highly valued
- U.S. Citizenship required due to program access restrictions
Highly Valued Experience
- Gas turbine engine or aerospace propulsion experience
- Rotating equipment manufacturing experience
- Windchill, Creo, or related PTC PLM tools
- Aerospace, aviation, or defense manufacturing background
