Maintenance and Ground Support Equipment for Line- and Base Maintenance
TEST‑FUCHS Ground Support Equipment is developed in close alignment with the needs of operators and maintenance teams. The portfolio comprises dedicated, certified solutions for, amongst others, the AIRBUS A320, A350, and A400M, as well as versatile, universal equipment suitable for use on other AIRBUS and BOEING aircraft as well as a broad range of other aircraft platforms.

THE POSITION – SALES MANAGER GSE:
Summary:
Primary responsibility for the sales effort of TEST-FUCHS Ground Support Equipment (GSE) products and services within the assigned North American territory. As the equipment requires capital investment by customers, this position acts as the customer’s Single Point of Contact (SPOC) and manages the overall customer relationship, sales opportunities, and all relevant touchpoints between the customer and internal departments within TEST-FUCHS Corporation and the global TEST-FUCHS organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive sales of new Ground Support Equipment as well as establish and negotiate long-term service and support contracts, ensuring sustainable revenue growth and high customer satisfaction
- Increase market visibility and brand awareness of TEST-FUCHS Ground Support Equipment by conducting regular business travel to prospective and existing customers, actively promoting the company’s solutions, and building strong, long-term customer relationships across airlines, MROs, and other operators
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
SALES:
- Make regularly scheduled sales calls and conduct customer visits within the assigned North American region.
- Maintain consistent contact and provide sales and service support to all assigned customers.
- Identify, manage, present, document, propose, negotiate, and successfully close sales opportunities for all products and services within the Ground Support Equipment portfolio.
- Respond to customer inquiries and resolve complaints in the most expeditious manner possible.
- In cooperation with the Head of Sales Region Americas, analyze and prepare the annual Masterplan for the fiscal year, identifying targets for sales funnel development, order intake, and key (Master) customers.
- Achieve sales funnel size targets and order intake objectives in line with approved Masterplan targets.
COLLABORATION & COMMUNICATION
- Fully understand and utilize sales tools such as CRM systems, corporate intranet, and approved sales materials.
- Continuously update the CRM system and maintain accurate, current data on customers, contacts, projects, sales opportunities, and documented customer visits and calls.
- Maintain timely and effective communication with the Head of Sales Region Americas and the management team regarding customer activities, opportunities, and developments.
MARKETING
- Maintain a positive image of the company in the marketplace and actively participate in relevant industry activities.
- Attend trade shows and industry events as required to support business objectives (e.g., MRO Americas, GSE Expo, and similar regional events).
REPORTS AND SALES OPERATIONS
- Participate in regular weekly calls with the supervisor to discuss planned actions, opportunities, challenges, risks, issues, travel plans, and travel reimbursement; periodically review overall sales strategy and Masterplan status.
- Maintain a travel calendar and obtain required travel approvals for business trips.
- Provide timely sales reports (e.g., monthly production and order intake forecasts) to the Head of Sales (HS) and Head of Sales Region (HSR).
- Submit expense reports and required receipts in a timely manner for approval and reimbursement, in accordance with company policy.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Equivalent professional experience and/or relevant certifications may be considered in lieu of the stated minimum educational requirements.
ESSENTIAL:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university required.
- Minimum 5+ years of sales experience within the aerospace industry, ideally with an airline, MRO, or military background.
- Proficiency with standard computer applications including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and CRM systems.
- Full professional proficiency in English required; additional language skills are desirable, particularly German and/or Spanish.
- A current and valid passport and state driver’s license are required.
- Experience with aerospace Ground Support Equipment (GSE) or test systems in general is advantageous.
- A solid understanding of AMMs, TEMs, ATA chapters, and the specific requirements of aircraft maintenance activities is advantageous.
- Experience with capital equipment sales cycles, including long-term service and aftersales support offerings, is desirable.
