DSI Dantech - Remote (Texas)

On behalf of our client, DSI DANTECH, we are currently seeking a Regional Sales Manager to join their U.S. team. This is an excellent career opportunity for a motivated sales professional with a proven sales track record in the food processing equipment industry.

This is a remote position and you will be covering a large region in the Midwest: Preferred remote location would be in TX, KS, and IA.

POSITION SUMMARY

In this role you will be a key part of the US Sales Team covering a large region primarily in the Midwest, covering the following states: ND, SD, MN, IA, MO, AR, TX, OK, KS, NB.

You will thrive off acquiring new business and servicing/growing existing accounts. By using a consultative sales style, you will provide prospects and existing customers with applicable solutions and keep them up to date on new industry trends. You will lead revenue growth in a primarily direct sales channel using a variety of methods to acquire new business. You will be working from your home office and reporting directly to the VP, Americas.

Expected travel will be up to 60%, primarily within the region, plus potential occasional international travel.

 

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Draft overall business development plans and sales strategy for your region and application.
  • Establish, develop, and maintain strong business relationships with current customers in assigned areas to generate new sales of the company’s product lines.
  • Prospect new customers in the region who do not have experience with the company’s product lines to increase market share.
  • Stay in touch with developments in the region to stay aware of any planned expansion by the existing and newly formed customers that will need equipment to facilitate the expansion.
  • Visit the customers within the assigned area to collect the required information to submit to management/headquarters to prepare the quotations for the product lines to be submitted to the customer.
  • Review all quotations with the customers and negotiate the price and terms of the potential sale with guidance from management/headquarters.
  • Stay abreast of all competitor activity within the assigned area and report the information back to management/headquarters.
  • Assist in the resolution of customer problems and complaints.
  • Maintain a high level of technical knowledge of the company’s product lines as well as the customer’s application process.
  • Participate in trade shows, industry trade meetings, and other sessions as required.
  • Maintain regular reporting to management about projects incl. maintaining an updated overview of the project pipeline by updating the CRM system.
  • Contribute to the development of the sales and cost budget for your territory.
  • Expect to travel at least 60 % of the time, mainly in the USA within the region, as well as international travel when needed.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field is preferred, or
  • an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years relevant capital equipment sales experience in a large region/territory.
  • Experience selling capital equipment to the food processing industry is a must.
  • Experience selling food freezing equipment would be the “icing on the cake”.
  • Self-driven, go-getter, sales hunter, thrives by working independently.
  • Experience working closely with overseas colleagues in an international working environment highly preferred.
  • Proactive behavior, taking initiative, and seeking continuous improvement.
  • Experience utilizing a CRM system.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship building skills.
  • Proficient computer skills (MS Office suite).
  • Used to/ability to travel up to 60%, primarily within the region. Some international travel possible.
