The Opportunity
We’re seeking an exceptional Legal and Trade Compliance Manager for a dynamic and pivotal role that directly impacts our company’s successful international growth. In this hands-on position, you’ll lead the strategic development and implementation of comprehensive compliance programs across multiple jurisdictions.
The Challenge
- Collaborate directly with senior management to drive the creation and oversight of global compliance initiatives with an emphasis on trade controls, government contracts, and commercial transactions.
- Ensure meticulous adherence to applicable legal frameworks, including U.S. trade and export regulations (ITAR, EAR, FAR/DFARS).
- Proactively assess legal risk and provide tailored solutions and guidance to the business on a range of legal and ethical matters.
- Review and refine commercial agreements across our diverse customer and partner base.
- Interface with regulatory bodies and external stakeholders in a professional and solution-oriented manner.
What We’re Looking For
- Master’s Degree in Law, or equivalent experience. Relevant professional certifications are a big plus.
- 8+ years of direct in-house legal and compliance experience, ideally within a multinational manufacturing company.
- Demonstrated expertise in trade compliance, government contracting regulations, and commercial agreements.
- Self-starter with an unwavering commitment to ethics and a passion for ensuring a culture of compliance.
- Ability to distill complex legal concepts for non-lawyers, fostering a collaborative approach with business teams.
