ABOUT THE POSITION

 

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Account Manager. In this position, you will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies to nurture existing accounts and drive revenue growth and market penetration. This role requires a deep understanding of the retail market, particularly in the cultivation and distribution of cut flowers, along with a proven track record of sales success. Preferably, candidates will have established connections within retail and/or floral industries.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  1. Develop and implement comprehensive sales plans and strategies to achieve revenue targets and expand market share in the cut flower sector.
  2. Identify and cultivate relationships with key customers, including wholesalers, retailers, florists, and distributors, to drive sales and increase brand awareness.
  3. Leverage existing retail and floral connections to establish partnerships and secure distribution channels for our products.
  4. Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to identify opportunities for growth and innovation.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, production, and logistics, to coordinate efforts and ensure seamless execution of sales initiatives.
  6. Manage the sales pipeline and forecast accurately to maintain inventory levels and optimize production planning.
  7. Negotiate contracts and agreements with customers, ensuring terms are favorable and aligned with company objectives.
  8. Monitor sales performance metrics, such as revenue, margins, and customer satisfaction, and take corrective actions as needed to drive continuous improvement.
  9. Stay updated on industry developments, regulatory requirements, and best practices to maintain a competitive edge in the market.
  10. Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to network with potential customers and promote our products and services.

 

REQUIREMENTS

 

  1. Bachelor;s degree in business, agriculture, horticulture, or related field; MBA or equivalent preferred.
  2. Preferably 5+ years’ experience in sales management (preferably within the retail industry)
  3. Established connections within the retail and floral industries, with a network of contacts that can be leveraged to enhance sales efforts, is preferred.
  4. Excellent communication and negotiation abilities, with a customer-centric approach to building relationships and driving sales.
  5. Deep knowledge of the cut flower industry, including market dynamics, supply chain logistics, and cultivation practices or related field is preferred.
  6. Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and market research to make informed decisions and develop effective sales strategies.
  7. Results-oriented with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving business growth.
  8. Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office suite, and other sales productivity tools.
  9. Willingness to travel as needed to meet with customers, attend industry events, and visit production facilities.
