About the Role
This role oversees the states Idaho, Washington and Oregon to maximize sales of HORSCH products and parts, ensuring customer satisfaction. Key focus areas include sales growth, territory development, dealer training, customer demonstrations and maintaining dealer and customer relationships. This includes cultivating new dealer relationships.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Promotion and sale of products entrusted for sale.
- Definition of equipment needs for demonstration in agreement with management.
- Follow-up of demonstration machines. Full responsibility for organizing transportation, which must be optimized, and for the condition of the machines.
- Development of sales forecasts with each of the partner dealers. Forecasts are to be communicated from August for the following campaign and must be updated during the campaign.
- Monthly activity reporting.
- Reporting market needs and competitive monitoring.
- Animation of the sales network (product training for Horsch products, support for sales teams, participation in network events such as open houses).
- Monitoring of stock levels in the network.
- Selection of dealership partners in agreement with Management.
- Ensure the relevance of machine configurations when ordering to avoid any technical mismatches.
- Ensure that dealership machine orders are complete and clear.
- Ensure compliance with sales conditions and dedicated sectors, and the sales policy of Horsch.
- Require updated data from end customers to complete the Horsch customer file.
- Ensure compliance with machine recovery and payment conditions (compliance with deadlines, discount policy, and credit limit).
- Report any after-sales service issues to the technical sector managers and the service managers.
- Participate in internal training.
- Participate in any sales promotion events such as regional or national trade shows.
Position Requirements:
- Experience: Background in agriculture equipment sales or a similar field with relevant industry knowledge. Candidates with strong technical acumen and an understanding of agronomic topics are preferred; a farm background is an asset.
- Industry Knowledge: While a sales background is advantageous, candidates with industry expertise who are extroverted and highly skilled in communication may also be a good fit.
- Skills: Excellent organizational abilities, computer proficiency, management capabilities, and effective communication skills.
- Passion: A genuine enthusiasm for the company’s products and a proactive attitude toward learning and growth.
- License & Travel: A valid driver’s license is required. This position requires extensive travel, averaging around three overnight stays per week.
