Verso Energy is a French producer of renewable electricity, green hydrogen, and synthetic fuels. Its mission is to help build a decarbonized and competitive energy mix with a high proportion of renewable energies.

What you’ll be doing

• Full responsibility for the US operations and P&L
• Be the ambassador and face of Verso in the US
• Lead the project manager for a pilot program in the Southeastern US (e-SAF project in Georgia)
• Develop and maintain the existing partnerships of Verso Energy in the US.
• Research and stay up to date on the renewable energy industry in the US; be the expert at Verso Energy on the market trends in the US with regards to solar, wind, synthetic fuels, green hydrogen, and other technologies.
• Be directly involved in the hiring of new Verso team members in the US
• Report to the leadership in Paris in a timely manner
• Drive new business efforts across all expertise of Verso Energy
• Possess an understanding and proficient knowledge of permitting and compliance for building large-scale energy projects

Your education and work experience

• Bachelor’s Degree; preferably in a technical field
• 15 years of experience in energy, renewables, or a related field
• 3-5 years of experience in a leadership role with direct reports or with P&L responsibility
• In-depth knowledge of the energy and renewable energy sectors
• Understanding of environmental law and urban planning laws
• Must be fluent in English
• Must be able to freely work in the United States of America
• 50% travel – must have access to a major airport; light travels to France to visit with HQ

Preferred

• Master’s Degree
• Proficiency in speaking French will be heavily considered
• Prior history of working with utilities, electricity, and gas providers
• Possess deep industry knowledge of SAF (sustainable aviation fuel)
