Technical Sales Engineer

Position Summary
As a Technical Sales Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in driving business growth by providing technical expertise and customer-centric solutions. This role combines technical consulting with strategic sales, aiming to position Senstronic as the preferred supplier in the automation, electronics, and industrial manufacturing space. You will be responsible for managing existing accounts, identifying new business opportunities, and delivering tailored technical presentations and support to clients.
Key Responsibilities
Client Support & Technical Expertise
- Provide daily on-site technical support and consultation to customers
- Conduct production line audits to assess needs and offer value-driven solutions
- Present tailored product solutions and support customer testing and evaluation
- Collect feedback and test reports to refine proposals and enhance service
- Train maintenance teams and educate customers on product application
- Position Senstronic as the preferred and exclusive provider
Project Engagement
- Identify and manage industrial projects involving new investments or upgrades
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, integrators, and subcontractors
- Support specification development, quotation preparation, and negotiation
- Provide technical training to stakeholders and monitor project KPIs
Purchasing Collaboration
- Track competitors’ pricing and product usage within key accounts
- Propose alternative solutions and secure new supplier numbers
- Lead commercial discussions and close deals in coordination with purchasing teams
Business Development
- Prospect and acquire new clients, supported by the sales assistant team
- Identify and explore market trends, customer needs, and product opportunities
- Expand market share and increase Senstronic’s visibility in the region
Sales Operations & Reporting
- Independently manage schedules and customer visits (80% travel)
- Maintain CRM tools and ensure up-to-date reporting of activities and KPIs
- Prepare accurate forecasts, quotations, action plans, and expense reports
- Provide regular market feedback and competitor insights to Sales Management
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Automation, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
- 3–5 years of experience in a technical sales or engineering role within industrial automation, sensors, or equipment manufacturing
- Native-level proficiency in the local language; professional English (B2 level minimum)
- Solid understanding of manufacturing processes and industrial applications
