OUR CLIENT

On behalf of our client, DSI DANTECH, we are recruiting a Site Manager to join their Regional Installation & Commissioning Team across North America.

This is a strong opportunity for a driven, detail-focused professional with solid technical expertise and excellent communication skills. The ideal candidate brings proven experience managing the installation of capital equipment projects, ideally within the food processing equipment sector.

This role is remote and can be based anywhere in the United States, provided proximity to a major airport, as extensive travel throughout North America is required.

POSITION SUMMARY

In this role, you will lead the planning, coordination, and on-site execution of equipment and system installations, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in full alignment with customer specifications. Throughout each project, you will collaborate closely with the Project Manager(s), oversee both internal field installation technicians and subcontractors, and serve as the primary on-site liaison for customers.

 

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Review project documentation, drawings, and installation plans prior to site work to prepare site installation schedules and resource plans (manpower, tools, lifting equipment, etc.)
  • Ensure all materials and components are available and inspected prior to installation, and participate in pre-installation meetings and site readiness checks.
  • Lead and supervise installation teams and subcontractors at the site and coordinate with customer representatives, civil contractors, and other disciplines to ensure smooth execution.
  • Ensure installation work complies with mechanical, electrical, and safety standards. Monitor progress and report daily/weekly updates to the assigned Project Manager.
  • Maintain accurate site records, progress reports, and as-built documentation.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

 

  • Technical education in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (e.g., technician or bachelor level).
  • 3+ Years of experience in site installation or supervision, preferably in industrial equipment or process systems.
  • Experience in leading and motivating teams to ensure quality and commitment.
  • Comfortable taking action and making decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with customers and colleagues across different cultures and organizational levels.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant IT tools.
  • Capable of co-leading projects with the Project Manager, taking ownership of outcomes, and driving the team toward success.
  • Used to/ability to travel extensively, primarily within the US. Some international travel possible.
