Service Technician

The US headquarters is in the Chicago Metro Area. Position
The Service Technician will be responsible for installing new packaging machines or performing technical service interventions, repairs, or maintenance on existing packaging machines in factories around the USA.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Mechanical and electrical skills
- Ability to manage time and work independently, and in a team environment
- Computer skills
- General knowledge of PLC programming
- Learning attitude
Primary Responsibilities:
- Field service repairs, maintenance, and installations
- Support to Customer Service and Sales in the HQ in Italy
- Travel in the US and Canada (approximately 70% travel required)
Basic Requirements:
- A minimum of a 2-year Packaging Machinery degree or 2+ years of work experience with at least one Flow Wrapper, Robot, Case Packer, Cartoner, Closer, or similar
Additional Qualifications:
- Knowledge of reading instruction manuals, mechanical drawings, and wiring diagrams
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Valid US passport
- Valid US driver’s license
- This individual will be based in Illinois (preferably)

- $70K base salary + $20K bonus.
