Role Summary:
As a Senior Process Design Engineer, you will be responsible for all planning and design, activities related to tooling, from the moment of receiving Production Orders requests for current or new products until running them without issues. You will also be supporting the production team and advising them on how to improve production/tooling costs and efficiency.
Your mission will be to ensure an efficient, reliable, on-time, and cost-effective tooling and process design.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the feasibility analysis for all the parts requested by customers, including estimations on the grade of difficulty in production, tooling cost as well as the most appropriate machine to run production.
- Assure a good tooling design, including all processes, to achieve the most stable and reliable production as well as reducing tooling costs and increase efficiencies.
- Responsible to review the tooling design, together with the Production Manager and workshop leaders, will identify improvement points and make proposals for new tooling/process design.
- Share best practices and supplier strategies, together with the tooling room manager, to reduce the cost of tooling.
- Assure uniformity in tooling design across similar parts and through different plants.
- Create specifications, tolerances, and prints as needed.
- Determining design scope, cost, and schedule and actively managing work thru to completion.
- Prepare engineering documents to support the ongoing administration and manufacturing of products.

Your Experience, Skills & Traits:
- University technical studies, preferably in engineering or equivalent technical experience.
- Minimum of 5 years in a manufacturing environment.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience designing and developing multi-station cold-forming tools.
- Strong Knowledge of mechanical engineering, metallurgy, machines, tooling, and quality technology is required.
- Demonstrated Solid Modeling experience – SolidWorks preferred.
- Experience in screw/fastener manufacturing will be highly valued.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Good team player, honest, and with energy to help lead a company transformation.
