The role and the responsibilities:
- Lead the design process from conceptualization to execution.
- Take ownership of multiple projects simultaneously, managing time and priorities effectively to meet deadlines and exceed expectations.
- Contribute to design strategy discussions, offering insights and ideas.
- Stay current with design trends.
- Manage and mentor a team of junior designers, fostering their professional growth and maintaining design consistency across projects.
- Act like the Brand Ambassador and represent Studio K at trade events.
Your skills and background:
- Interior Design degree
- 5-7 years of professional experience in a design-related role, with a proven portfolio showcasing a range of projects in the hospitality industry specifically restaurants design is a must.
- Excellent AutoCAD & Adobe Creative Suite Skills. SketchUp, Enscape, and InDesign a must
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate design concepts and rationale to diverse audiences.
- Proficient in working with and sourcing architectural materials/finishes and FF&E
- Proficient in construction drawing, documentation and oversight
- Prior experience leading or mentoring a team of Jr.
- Ability to work collaboratively, adapt to feedback, and iterate on designs.
- A proactive mindset, with the ability to take initiative, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
- A keen eye for detail, a passion for design innovation, and a drive to stay current with industry trends.
Salary range: $90k-$125k
