Our client Hermetic Pumps, with global headquarters in Gundelfingen, Germany and over 800 dedicated associates worldwide, has engaged us in the search for an ambitions Sales Representative. The firm has an excellent reputation in its specific industry and is internationally active, primarily in the Chemical, Petrochemical, and Refineries markets. The North American headquarters in Houston, TX covers engineering, marketing, sales, and service.

Position

 In this exciting newly created position as a Sales Representative you will receive a great deal of freedom to present, promote and sell Hermetic Pump’s products and services to existing and prospective customers. You will perform cost-benefit and needs analysis to meet their needs. Furthermore, you will establish, develop and maintain positive business and customer relationships.

In this role you will report directly to the Sales Manager.

 

Profile

  • Min. 2-year degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or similar (B.S./B.A. preferred)
  • Min. 5 years of experience in selling a technical product to the target industry
  • Established network in the Chemical, Petrochemical, and/or Refineries industries
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings
  • Willingness and ability to travel 80% – 90% (60% – 80% in Houston area, rest across
  • Texas)
  • Ability to analyze a territory/market potential
  • Ability to track your sales records and write status reports on a regular base
  • Ability to quickly establish credibility in front of the customer
  • Highly motivated and target driven
  • Good knowledge of MS Office
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Strong negotiation skills
