Our client, NGI, is seeking two experienced and entrepreneurial Sales Managers, covering US Midwest/South/East, to help grow its business in North America. About this Position

As a Sales Manager, you will get the opportunity to develop, implement and drive NGI’s growth and expansion in the region for food and pharmaceutical industry. The candidate we are looking for will bring her/his innovative business development approach along with a strong track record in technical solution selling. Your ability to identify opportunities, maintain a pipeline of qualified leads and build long-term customer relationships with all levels of the organization will be keys to your success. This role reports directly to the President of Sales-Americas (US & Canada). Travel 25-50% of the time is expected (1-2 weeks per month).



Key Responsibilities & Tasks

  • Oversee several states, implement the overall sales strategy in the geographical area of responsibility, and manage purchasing accounts of 100 or more.
  • Actively grow territory with expected goal of adding 48 new customers a year.
  • Selling all components to OEM machine builders.



Activities to be successful in this role are amongst others:

  • Make 40-plus calls per day, and maintain up-to-date records in the CRM system (Microsoft Dynamics NAV).
  • Develop quotes using the internal system, price, and discount based on the business case, and send out 4 samples per week.
  • Gain 4 new monthly customers and meet expected growth % for the region.
  • High customer service orientation with the ability to work beyond 9 am-5 pm as a business owner.
  • Have a 60-day travel plan developed for each quarter.
  • Meaningful travel of 25-50% (both local and overnight), ie 1-2 weeks per month, including 1 trip to Europe every 1-2 years. More travel may be involved depending on the business case and tradeshow events.
  • Work remotely with a fully functional home office.
  • Weekly virtual meetings with the team and biweekly with the President of Sales-Americas (US & Canada).


Profile: Your Education & Work Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or associate or alternatively additional years of relevant experience and industry focus.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of proven technical B2B selling, managing a larger territory.
  • Selling to the food and beverage industry and OEM is not a must but will be highly considered.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) including CRM.
  • French and Spanish language skills are considered a plus.
