About the role

Join a European market leader in pharmaceutical process equipment and containment solutions as they launch their US operations. As one of the first employees in the United States, you will have a unique opportunity to build the business from the ground up. This is a true hunter sales role, focused on acquiring new customers and establishing long-term partnerships with big pharmaceutical and biotech companies.
Ideally based near Raleigh, NC (or within a 3-hour radius), you will cover the US market, travel frequently (approximately 50%), and play a critical role in scaling a proven European success story in North America

Your Tasks.

 

  • Proactively identify and develop new business opportunities among pharmaceutical manufacturers, plant constructors, and engineering companies.
  • Strategically acquire and manage projects with both new and selective existing customers.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for customers: provide consultative, technically oriented sales guidance and align solutions to customer requirements in collaboration with internal engineering teams.
  • Prepare proposals, quotations, and tender documents in close coordination with technical colleagues in Europe.
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing with decision makers in client organizations.
  • Conduct market research and translate insights into actionable market-entry strategies.
  • Represent the company at national and international trade shows, conferences, and customer visits.
  • Act as a bridge between US customers and headquarters to ensure smooth project execution and customer satisfaction.
  • Take direct responsibility for sales targets and results, working independently and proactively to grow the US customer base.

 

Your  Profile

  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in B2B technical sales, with a strong track record of acquiring and growing new business.
  • Familiarity with pharmaceutical production processes, cleanroom technology, process equipment, or related capital equipment sales is essential.
  • Technical degree or training (e.g., mechanical engineering, process engineering, industrial engineering, or comparable).
  • Strong consultative selling skills and confidence engaging with technical and executive stakeholders.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, high level of self-motivation, and a results-driven approach.
  • Ability to work independently in a start-up environment and build a new market presence.
  • Excellent coordination, planning, and communication abilities.
  • Solid MS Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Valid driver’s license.
