Sales Manager (Drive Systems)

For our client, we seek a sales Manager focused on Drive Systems Motors.

Job Summary:

We are currently seeking a sales Manager; this is an excellent opportunity for a dynamic and driven sales professional who will manage the drive systems product line, having the opportunity to grow existing and new business in the US.

With facilities in Huntley, (IL), the ideal candidate is comfortable working in an international environment and will be excited to be part of the company’s growth.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Responsible for the DC motor industrial applications business for the North American market being an active contributor to the Development of the Strategy & Commercial Action Plan for this region.
  • Responsible for the elaboration and consecution of the Annual Sales Forecast: to monitor activities against goals and objectives and to develop corrective actions to meet the set targets.
  • To research and visit all the existing and potential customers, understand their needs and requirements, and offer our technical solution – product and service – for their application.
  • Ensure the contractual commitments related to new project awards jointly with the assigned Product Design Engineer.
  • Responsible for maintaining profitability and commercial policy on their assigned accounts.
  • Maintain a solid understanding of company policies, capabilities, and products and effectively communicate all offerings to customers.
  • When interacting with clients, ensure that all internal and external processes and procedures are completed, quality standards are met, and sales transactions are profitable.
  • Ensure that customer issues are dealt with in an efficient manner, reporting to the upper management, any problems that may arise as well as updates on account activities.
  • Prepare the contracts/quotations for new businesses and contract renewals for established companies.
  • Responsible for assisting the accounting area as required in payment collections.
  • Communicate the customer’s goals and represent the customer’s interest to internal team members.
  • Incorporate and maintain all programs in CRM / PLM system as necessary.
  • Participate as a proactive team member working closely within DOGA global multicultural organization in a positive environment.

Qualifications and Skills

  • 5+ years of work experience in technical sales and account management in related industries
  • Bachelor’s Degree in mechanical/electrical o electronic engineering would be a plus
  • Capability to understand Drive System functions and diverse applications for building relationships
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication as well as strong presentation skills
  • Pro-active, highly motivated, entrepreneurial, analytical, and detail-oriented
  • Open-minded with experience working in a multicultural organization
  • Willing and able to travel internationally 30% -40%
  • Experience with ERP systems, SAP will be a plus
