On behalf of our client, SEMPERIT, we are currently seeking an experienced Sales Manager to join their team in North America. This is an excellent career opportunity for an experienced sales professional, preferably with experience managing and selling product within the industrial & hydraulic hose industry. Focus will be on the East Coast. This is a remote position with expected travel to be up to 50%.

POSITION SUMMARY
In this role, you will report to the Sales Director and lead all aspects of engagements with existing and new customers for Semperit’s Industrial Organization (Trans, Flex, Seal and Form) within North America with a focus on the East Coast. You will build relationships and understand customer business to provide appropriate products or solutions. This role will define a sales and growth strategy aligned with critical sales business objectives. You will identify opportunities and build credibility with customers. This is a “hunter sales” position.
MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The overall objective of this role is to increase overall performance of the organization by creating strong customer relationships and new customer partnerships for Semperit’s Hydraulic and Industrial Hose organization. You will develop and maximize the company’s presence and market share in designated accounts and territory and drive continuous improvement.
- Detect and develop new business opportunities both in terms of market coverage, product portfolio and go-to-market to ensure a profitable growth within the defined industry.
- Utilize CRM tool (Salesforce) as the record of planning, events, activity, and reporting. Update and utilize CRM as per Commercial Excellence guidelines to accelerate and document business growth including existing business and new opportunities.
- Work effectively with internal support departments to promote sales for new and existing customers to maximize Semperit’s visibility within the industry.
- Identify industry trends and new product norms in the region.
- Attend conferences and professional association meetings to promote Semperit’s products and the brand.
- Maintain knowledge of competitor products and report intelligence on competitor pricing, marketing strategies or activities.
- Ensure that reports and presentations are provided in a timely manner.
- Maintain existing customer base and grow profitable growth with new and existing customers.
- Assist with customer events (fairs, virtual exhibitions, trainings etc.) – marketing, customers, event coordinators.

CANDIDATE PROFILE
- Bachelor’s degree or higher.
- Minimum 5 years industry sales experience, preferred in hydraulic and industrial hoses.
- Experience with industrial profiles, molded rubber goods, extrusion and other elastomer products is a plus.
- Extensive experience in working with/through Sales Channels/Distribution.
- Experience working from remote or home office with minimal supervision.
- A “Hunter Sales” mentality with documented history of successfully growing area of responsibility.
- Excellent customer relationship skills and effective communication skills.
- Extensive experience CRM systems, Salesforce preferred
- Proficient computer skills, MS Office
- Willing/flexible to travel up to 50%.
