Sales Engineer


Location: REMOTE – must reside in one of the following states: WA,OR,IA,ND,SD,NE,MN,ID,MO,WI.

The candidate:

We are seeking a highly motivated experienced Sales Engineer to join our client’s US-based team and manage an existing territory that includes the following states: AK,WA,OR,IA,ND,SD,NE,MN,ID,MO,WI and Canada. The ideal candidate is a team player driven by achieving strategic sales goals. To be successful in the role the minimum requirements are:

  • Experience as a Sales Engineer or Application Engineer selling pumps/valves, food & beverage equipment; components of medical devices or medical devices; pressure, fluids, and vapor controls.
  • An Engineering degree is a must.
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to make effective customer presentations.
  • Strong leadership skills to own and lead all technical aspects of the sales process.
  • Ability to simultaneously manage multiple accounts/opportunities.
  • Experienced user of CRM systems
  • Experience creating detailed technical and commercial proposals and implementation plans.
  • Willingness to travel about 50% of the time. International travel to Italy is expected for training purposes.

The role:

  • Establishes new accounts, creates new opportunities, and builds trust relationships with customers
  • Works with both existing books of business and develops new business opportunities in the assigned territory
  • Serves customers by identifying their needs and providing solutions.

Prepares sales reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing sales information and engineering and application trends to guide the Company’s development efforts in the right direction.

Performs client and prospect demonstrations, and translates technical data for a variety of audiences (both virtual and in-person).

  • Represents the company at national trade shows.
