Our client, ENSTO, is seeking a results-driven and business-savvy Sales Director to expand their fast-growing company into the U.S. market. About the position

This is an amazing opportunity for a highly motivated Sales professional to be part of ENSTO’s expansion into the United States. As U.S. Sales Director you will have full responsibility for ENSTO’s sales operations in the U.S. and the acquisition and development of new customers—both via direct sales and via channel partners and sales representatives. The candidate we are seeking will have a sound technical and commercial background, a successful track record in selling electrical solutions to Distribution System Operators (DSOs), and the ability to develop and motivate a sales team. We expect you to understand market opportunities and translate them into actionable business plans.  Your ‘Can-Do’ approach and ability to create long-term customer success will be keys to your success.  You should be comfortable in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced, and international environment where you will pro-actively participate in other business functions and operations of the company as needed. This position will be based at the company’s new office in Dallas and report to the Head of Sales at the HQ in Finland. Your responsibilities include:

 

  • Build, lead and drive all sales activities and sales operations in the United States including developing and training the sales team and managing the sales representative network
  • Review and evaluate relevant account strategies with the team and Head of Sales
  • Develop and implement the sales strategy for the U.S. market ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic plan
  • Prepare and manage annual sales plan & sales budget
  • Define the team’s sales target together with the company management and conduct regular sales performance reviews

  • Meet or exceed sales targets based on approved sales plans
  • Produce monthly and annual forecasting reports as well as sales activity reports.
  • Analyze, develop, grow, and strengthen the network of distributors and sales representatives
  • Collaborate closely with ENSTO Finland on marketing and outreach activities for the U.S. to create market demand among customer segments
  • Stay up to date on industry and customer news, trends and requirements and acquire knowledge of regulations & policies, products, services, competitors, relevant information about legacy, existing, and emerging technologies, and the latest product-line developments.
  • Travel up to 50% to customers and prospects in North America
  • Build a team culture that upholds ENSTO’s vision, mission, and values

 

What we expect from you

Education & Work Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 7 years of experience in technical sales with a proven track record of increasing sales
  • Knowledge and/or experience in the electrical solutions industry is a must
  • Proficiency in electrical distribution network technologies
  • Robust experience in translating strategies and action plans with a demonstrated ability to identify, pursue and capture new business.
  • Experience negotiating and understanding complex contracts
  • Experience in managing and inspiring high-performing sales teams communicating vision and setting goals
  • Experience working in an international business environment is a plus
  • Outstanding English communication skills, both verbal and written
