Your role
As a Regional Sales Manager, you will be responsible for promoting and selling products to new and existing clients and distributor partners. You will develop and implement regional strategies, mentor and coach your sales team and ensure the achievement of sales targets and business growth. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a strategic mindset to drive sales performance and market share.
What you’ll be doing
- Utilize the “Sales Process Playbook” to effectively promote and sell products to new and existing clients, as well as distributor partners.
- Collaborate with sales engineers to develop and maintain a robust pipeline of new projects.
- Develop annual and 5-year regional strategies, objectives, actions, and tactics.
- Mentor, coach, and develop your sales team to achieve the highest levels of performance.
- Provide accurate forecasts for prototypes and production requirements.
- Conduct performance reviews and training sessions for distributor partners.
- Monitor sales activities to ensure alignment with forecasts and objectives.
- Motivate the sales team to deliver optimal customer service while maximizing profits.
- Drive the sales force to increase market share and profit margins.
- Ensure timely completion of reports by the sales staff.
- Provide detailed reports on client activity and district results.
- Offer guidance on special pricing requests, market strategies, and gross margin objectives.
- Maintain profitability and business retention within the assigned region.
- Support the sales transformation process across all work streams.
- Act as an extension of the North American leadership team. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations
Your education and work experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent business experience. A Master’s degree in a related field is preferred.
- Previous management experience is essential.
- Minimum of 5 years of outside sales experience.
- Proven leadership abilities and strong interpersonal skills.
- Experience managing a team of District Sales Representatives (Sales engineers or account managers)
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Prior experience with strategy development and execution
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
