Regional Sales Manager

Houston (remote)

Our client is a global company that specializes in the manufacturing and distribution of industrial valves for various industries. Known for its broad product range and high-quality engineering, the company provides solutions to sectors such as oil and gas, petrochemicals, mining, power generation, and water treatment. The company’s products are designed to regulate, control, and direct the flow of gases, liquids, and other media in critical industrial applications.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Regional Sales Manager to promote the company’s pipeline and midstream valves across Houston, Dallas, and surrounding regions. This role is crucial for driving business growth by building strong relationships with key end users, including the Pipeline, Midstream, and Production sectors. Because of the company’s aggressive growth, the ideal candidate is a self-motivated, profit-driven, industry-savvy, and engaging professional with a passion for problem-solving.

 

You will work from your home office but you must be based in the Houston metropolitan area. You will collaborate closely with internal sales leadership, external representative agents, and end users to secure projects, achieve AML (Approved Manufacturers’ List) approvals, and meet sales targets.

You will contribute to the profitability and market presence of the company. Traveling is expected in the Region and seldom outside.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Development & Market Penetration

  • Establish and nurture strong relationships with decision-makers in Project Management, Engineering, and Procurement at the field level.
  • Identify upcoming projects and opportunities to drive sales growth within the region.
  • Foster close collaboration with the internal sales manager and external representative agents to secure project orders.
  • Develop and implement strategies to capture day-to-day orders and EPC contracts by engaging key personnel at target companies.
  • AML Targeting & Process Management
  • Identify and categorize target companies in the Pipeline, Midstream, and Production sectors.
  • Manage the AML process for each target, including:
  • Identifying AML gatekeepers and the approval process. Mapping out the timelines and steps required for AML inclusion. Coordinating the submission of required data and documentation to facilitate AML approval.
  • Profitability Focus
  • Contribute to company profitability by maximizing EBITA growth. This will include driving sales efforts that align with the company’s financial goals, ensuring efficient and strategic use of resources.
  • Required Skills & Experience:
  • Proven experience in sales, business development, or account management within the pipeline, midstream, or industrial valve sectors a must.
  • Strong understanding of the AML process, including experience navigating approval processes within major industry players.
  • Demonstrated success in building relationships with key end-user personnel across the Houston and Dallas markets.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and strategic planning skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.

 

Willingness to travel within the assigned territory and to Europe for training purposes.

Salary: $120K- $160K base + bonus.
