Our client, Kempower, is seeking a hands-on Purchasing Manager to support the company’s expansion into the US market where it will rapidly build a team and scale its operations to better serve current and future US-based customers. As Purchasing Manager, you are responsible for all sourcing, supplier management, and purchasing. You will coordinate the sub-contracting ramp-ups when manufacturing by suppliers is needed while ensuring all system parameters for purchasing are accurate. You are expected to advise the R&D, Logistics, Production, and Quality departments in all materials-related matters. The candidate we are seeking should be driven by providing top-notch quality, delivery, lead time, and cost development of materials.  The ideal candidate will bring his/her robust purchasing experience within the electronics industry along with a continuous improvement mindset and passion for teamwork.



  • Ensure the quality, delivery, lead time, and cost development of materials
  • Identify, establish, and manage supplier network based on quality, cost, and reliability
  • Manage contract negotiations with vendors and supplier
  • Develop supplier scorecards and perform supplier and sub-contracting audits
  • Manage all purchasing processes, including buying, selling, and distribution of materials.
  • Analyze purchasing processes for best performance
  • Lead continuous improvement activities via existing purchasing processes and ERP systems to meet US standards and needs
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with customers and suppliers
  • Collaborate closely with marketing and sales teams to develop and implement supplier strategies

What We Expect from You

Your experience & education

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • 5 years of experience in purchasing and supply chain management
  • Experience in the power electronics industry or electric panel building industry
  • Robust understanding of market conditions and trends, and experience negotiating complex contracts
  • Experience with continuous improvement and supplier development activities
  • Proficient in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite
