YER USA has been retained to work in a Purchasing Manager role. In this role, you will be responsible for the purchasing and management function relating to the planning, procurement, storage, control, and distribution of materials and products to meet company objectives and customer requirements. This position will be based at Chain Link Services in Forth Worth, TX area. Chain Link is one of FRANKE’s affiliate-owned companies. https://chainlinkservices.com/

Main Duties & Responsibilities

• Manages day-to-day activities of the Purchasing Department and oversees a purchasing team

• Communicates trends from suppliers in cost, quality, and delivery that would result in a possible strategy change.

• Solves issues with vendors to achieve competitive advantage.

• Analyzes and controls expenditures of the department to conform with budget requirements

• Establishes and maintains a replenishment process for purchased parts that ensure appropriate inventory levels.

• Investigates and solve problems resulting from material shortages, quality, and specification issues.

• Monitors Department Metrics and initiates improvement activities where needed.

• Develops purchasing group through mentoring, training, and establishing appropriate goals.


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Five to 10 years of experience in a similar role is required together with the following:

Management — Experience in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.

Negotiation skills — Strong negotiation skills, ability to interact with clients and vendors, review contracts, and negotiate the best possible solutions to maximize cost while guaranteeing the quality of materials

Presentation skills – Ability to write reports and procedure manuals. Effective presentation skills

Intermediate Mathematical Skills– Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.

Computer Skills: Word Processing, Spreadsheet, Internet, Order processing and inventory systems, Manufacturing software, and Database software are highly preferred.

Education – A bachelor’s degree is a must.
