Company Overview:

A leading provider of highly engineered systems and bulk material handling solutions is seeking a Project Manager to join its Memphis-based team. This company supports clients in advanced manufacturing sectors such as paints & coatings, polymer compounding, building materials, personal care products, battery & new energy, medical/pharma plastics, and food & beverage industries.

This role is ideal for a technically driven professional with experience managing complex projects involving mechanical, controls, and automation components. You will lead cross-functional teams, interface with international partners, and manage the full lifecycle of custom-engineered system projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the execution of large, custom automation projects from planning through commissioning
• Serve as the main point of contact for customers, suppliers, and internal teams
• Oversee project schedules, budgets, scope, and risk management
• Review and interpret P&IDs, mechanical drawings, and 3D models (Inventor, Navisworks)
• Coordinate engineering, purchasing, and field service activities
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical training programs

Qualifications:

• 8+ years of experience in industrial equipment, automation, or engineered systems
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field
• Proficient with AutoCAD 2D, Autodesk Inventor, Navisworks, and ERP systems (SAP preferred)
• Strong understanding of control systems, instrumentation, and mechanical processes
• Skilled in project management tools including MS Project and Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Experience:

• Experience in pneumatic conveying or bulk material handling systems
• Exposure to international project execution and system integration
