Project Engineer

We are currently recruiting a Project Engineer for our client AUMUND Corporation in Atlanta, GA (Kennesaw). This is an excellent opportunity for a highly energetic individual who brings the right mix of Engineering and Project Management skills.

Job Description:


  • Manage several projects simultaneously, including equipment engineering, supply chain/procurement, installation/ commissioning, and any other site activities
  • Provide technical support to the sales team for the creation of proposals, including the review of specifications, customizations, and system recommendations
  • Read and modify technical drawings
  • Create, maintain, and track project budgets and schedules
  • Obtain bids and select reliable sub-vendors
  • Frequently interact with Engineering and Supply Chain departments in Germany, as well as with local Sales and Service teams in Atlanta
  • Define risks and determine which issues need to be escalated, who they should be escalated to, and when an issue needs to be escalated in order to eliminate any negative impact on a project
  • Operate and negotiate independently within AUMUND policies, procedures, and directives
  • Coordinate all project related activities and communication and ensure they occur in a time frame necessary for a successful project
  • Ensure customer satisfaction throughout the entire project



The AUMUND Group, in business for 95 years, is a specialist in the field of conveying and storage equipment for a wide range of bulk materials. The US subsidiary of the AUMUND Group was established in 1980 in Atlanta to handle sales and engineering reviews for projects in the entire North and Central American market. While the cement industry is AUMUND’s foremost market, they are also operating in the steel and smelting industry, power generation, port and export terminals, minerals sector as well as the alternative energy-bearing materials.


Candidate Profile:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in an Engineering discipline preferred
  • 3-5 years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Bulk Material Handling industry experience is preferred
  • Experience with bucket elevators, feeders and/or other types of bulk material handling conveyors
  • Experience interacting with vendors beneficial
  • Strong commercial and negotiating skills
  • Spanish language skills are a big plus, but not a must
  • Proficient with AutoCAD, able to read and modify technical drawings
  • Able to work independently and in a team
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Occasional domestic and international travel might be required (10-30%)
