About the Position

This is a great opportunity for an experienced and forward-thinking commercial leader to build and increase market penetration and share for XVIVO in North America.  As President for N.A., you’ll be responsible for securing profitable growth for XVIVO’s full commercial portfolio. With your solid track record in medical sales and driven business acumen, you understand market opportunities and can translate them into actionable business plans. You will lead from the front, empowering, motivating, and developing your commercial team. To be successful in this role you need to excel at stakeholder management and enjoy cross-divisional collaboration, contributing to all functional leads in R&D, clinical, RA/QA, operations, and business development, as well as organ recovery. We expect you to effectively govern XVIVO’s N.A. operations in Philadelphia and Denver including related site management adhering to corporate policies, and legal, regulatory, and statutory requirements. This position, based at XVIVO’s Philadelphia office, is a member of the XVIVO Executive team and reports directly to the CCO at HQ in Sweden with a dotted line to the CEO.  Travel of at least 50% is to be expected, mostly domestic, some international.


What You’ll Be Responsible for More Specifically….

  • Prepare and manage annual business plan and budget, oversee sales activity plans, and take responsibility for the overall P&L financial performance and profitable growth for the region.
  • Meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales targets based on key performance metrics.
  • Lead and develop the company’s N.A. commercial team with a focus on developing people, capabilities, retention, talent management, and organizational efficiency.
  • Pro-actively contribute to global corporate strategies, operational excellence, and business development
  • Lead, define and develop strategic (3-years) and operational (12-24 months) plans for XVIVO N.A.
  • Secure downstream deployment of key product launches and XVIVO brand strategies
  • Gather relevant customer insights and business intelligence for respective product areas
  • Ensure effective communication with customers across channels, digital, Salesforce, and other relevant platforms
  • Support the planning and execution of clinical studies and approval processes in the US in close collaboration with XVIVO Global QA/RA Director and CMO.
  • Lead XVIVO’s North American sites cross-functionally, collaborating in the organizational matrix with global functions to ensure effective governance and communication
  • Ensure corporate governance excellence, compliant with policies and legislation for XVIVO NAM
  • Uphold company vision, mission, and values

What We Expect from You
Your Work Experience & Education

  • BA or BS Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field. MBA is a plus
  • 10+ years of robust track record in medical device sales to primary care customers in North America
  • Proven experience with P&L responsibility in complex business settings
  • Impressive commercial leadership abilities with a solid track record in building and managing sales teams
  • Impressive business acumen and in-depth knowledge of various business functions, operations, and processes
  • Experience in building and scaling a modern operation along with finding new ways of approaching the challenges of building a new market segment
  • Comfortable with technology & proficient in MS Office 365 Suite and various business software (e.g. ERP, CRM)
