Job description

For the company’s US subsidiary, L&S Lighting Corp., we are looking for an Operations Manager who will oversee all operational functions with a special focus on inventory control, production, and supply chain processes. In this role, you will communicate, train, and implement all company policies and ensure compliance. Additionally, you will create efficient processes, set parameters, and implement directives to support operational efficiency and growth, while adhering to the P&L budget for all operational areas.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze, coordinate, and manage product cycle including purchasing-, production-, inventory-, and logistics-planning and management
• Analyze historical data and trends to make purchase order recommendations and production order recommendations
• Coordinate supply chain operations with all central functions (sales-, marketing- and technical departments) in the US division, and with L&S facilities and other business partners in China, Germany, and Italy
• Responsible for department budget and goals esp. COGS and inventory management to help achieve the company’s EBIT goal
• Responsible for ERP management; continually maintain, monitor, and assess data in SAP to ensure continuous improvement, automation, and process efficiencies
• Analyze logistics processes and L&S business and financial data to develop and manage policy deployment in the areas of Lean Manufacturing techniques, quality, cost reduction, complete and on-time delivery, safety, customer satisfaction, employee relations, visual controls, and operational performance measures
• Responsible for ERP management; continually maintain, monitor, and assess data in SAP to ensure continuous improvement, automation, and process efficiencies
• Provide team leadership through effective communications, coaching, training, and development
• Participate in International Steering Committees for Operations, Purchasing, Technical (R&D) and New Projects, esp. new investments and saving strategies
• Supervisory Responsibility for inventory control and logistics

Candidate profile

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role (Mid-Senior level)
• 1+ years of leadership experience preferred
• Manufacturing industry experience preferred, e.g. furniture, lighting, wholesale, etc.
• Familiarity with international parent companies a plus
• Excellent computer skills and proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• SAP knowledge is a plus
• German or Italian language skills are a plus but not required
