About The Role
As National Sales Manager, you will play a pivotal role in building and scaling AVK’s US sales organization. You will be responsible for developing and executing the national go-to-market strategy, driving business growth, and strengthening relationships with key customers across industries requiring high-performance elastomer solutions. This is a high-impact leadership role where you will act as the bridge between the US operation and the global HQ in Denmark, while also building and leading a sales team. You will combine strategic thinking with hands-on business development to establish AVK as a leading partner in the US market.
This role is based in Minden, NV, and reports directly to the Sales and R&D Director of AVK Gummi in Denmark. Travel of up to 40% is to be expected.
Your responsibilities include:
- Develop and execute the US go-to-market strategy in close collaboration with global leadership
- Drive national business development and secure new customer contracts for the Nevada facility
- Build and expand relationships with key accounts and strategic customers across the US
- Collaborate with global colleagues on joint customer visits and complex, high-value opportunities
- Provide high-level technical and commercial support for large-scale projects
- Lead, develop, and mentor a team of Area Sales Managers
- Integrate and scale the existing US sales structure into a cohesive national organization
- Act as the key link between the US business and HQ in Denmark
- Contribute market insights and customer feedback to support product development and strategy

What We Expect from You
Your Work Experience, Education, Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree, technical degree preferred
- Min. 7 years of experience in B2B sales leadership within advanced manufacturing environments
- Experience with elastomers/rubber molding, or similar industrial products, is strongly preferred
- Proven ability to develop and implement go-to-market strategies
- Strong track record in business development and key account management
- Ability to engage with both technical stakeholders and senior executives
- Experience managing sales teams across multiple regions
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Experience working in an international environment and collaborating across cultures and time zones
- Structured, results-oriented, and able to operate both strategically and hands-on
- Comfortable working in a growing organization and building new processes and structures
- Alignment with a family-owned business culture focused on long-term value, quality, and customer satisfaction
- Proficiency in MS Office 365 suite and various business software (e.g., ERP, CRM)
