Our client, Simonswerk, is a leading German manufacturer of premium hinge systems and architectural hardware for high-end commercial and residential applications. With over a century of engineering expertise, the company is recognized globally for its precision, innovation, and design-driven solutions.

Simonswerk partners closely with architects, developers, and door manufacturers, with products specified in Class A office buildings, luxury hospitality projects, and high-end residential developments. As part of its continued international growth, the company is expanding its presence in Mexico, focusing on the premium construction segment.

 

Position

 

The National Sales Manager Mexico will be responsible for developing and executing the commercial strategy for high-end architectural door hardware in the Mexican market.

This role focuses on specification-driven sales, channel development, and key account management, with a strong emphasis on building relationships across the construction ecosystem.

The position reports to the CEO and Regional Director North America and is designed to evolve into full Country Manager responsibility, including P&L ownership and local entity leadership.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Drive specification sales through architects, interior designers, and key players of the industry.
  • Develop and implement the annual sales strategy for Mexico.
  • Achieve revenue, margin, and market share targets.
  • Identify and develop opportunities within Class A office buildings, luxury hospitality, high- end residential towers, healthcare, and institutional projects.
  • Conduct presentations and product training, including Continuing Education(CE) sessions.
  • Collaborate with developers, general contractors, and façade/door manufacturers.
  • Establish and manage relationships with distributors and importers, door and frame manufacturers, installation and project partners.
  • Negotiate pricing structures, agreements, and commercial terms.
  • Ensure strong brand positioning as a premium, technically superior solution.
  • Analyze the Mexican construction and architectural market.
  • Identify new verticals and provide growth opportunities.
  • Monitor competitor activity, pricing, and positioning.

 

Profile

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Business, Engineering, Architecture, or related field).
  • 7–10+ years of experience in high-end architectural hardware, building materials, commercial construction products, or a similar field.
  • Strong background in specification-driven sales or similar.
  • Established network within architects, interior designers, developers, general contractors, and commercial door manufacturers.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Experience selling premium European or international brands preferred.
  • Fluency in Spanish and strong English proficiency
  • Experience working with international manufacturers is a plus.
  • Understanding of importation processes and distributor structures in Mexico.
