MARKETING MANAGER – AMERICAS

Our client is an international software company that develops and markets software solutions dedicated to the management of IT services and solutions. Headquartered in Europe, our client has also a presence in North America to support their fast-growing global market demand.

As MARKETING MANAGER – AMERICAS – you are an experienced strategic-thinker with high-energy and visionary approaches in promoting the company’s image across existing and new niche markets. You are a hands-on person with a passion for new technologies related to IT & software platforms. In this role, you will be given an enormous amount of freedom using your solid expertise in owning a project module end-to-end – framing the issue, planning the work, conducting complex quantitative and qualitative analysis, and distilling insight independently and effectively.

In this customer-facing role, you will be responsible for promoting the solution to new prospects in the Americas (US, Canada, Central & South America). This role will report directly to the CEO based in Europe and will interact jointly with colleagues in North America and counterparts in Europe.

Job Description:

• Support sales team efforts throughout the Americas using strategical market penetration
• Develop Operating & Sales Model Excellence as well as Growth Plan Strategy
• Allocate budgets & monitor expenses across functions & geographies
• Define and Implement global pricing policy in the Americas
• Interact daily with clients and develop a deep understanding of their needs
• Continuously monitor the marketplace to identify new business opportunities
• Work together with other departments such as Sales, Business Development, Technical Customer Support and Supply Chain on all potential business opportunities
• Attend trade shows, industry conferences, networking events to build and strengthen the network
• Optimize customer experience, drive sustainable growth, and accelerate the transition to a recurring revenue software-centric business model
• Travel nationally and internationally occasionally

Qualifications:

  • BA in Business Administration or Marketing or equivalent relevant experience
  • MBA or Masters would be considered a plus
  • Min. 10 years of marketing/commercial/sales strategy/business development/Operations/Insights experience in a global territory selling complete solutions
  • Min. 5 years leadership experience, preferably in new technologies, IT or Software sector
  • Strong in B2B IT and/or software project management working w/ vendors, system integrators & service providers
  • Previous experience working w/Cisco, Avaya, Microsoft, or Skype for Business would be highly regarded
  • Proven leadership skills managing teams efficiently toward common goals
  • Thrive in a fast-paced business environment with customer interaction, deadlines, and high-value expectations
  • STRATEGIC-thinker and Proactive doer, Independent, Results-focused, Details-oriented, Organized, Collaborative-Attitude
  • Strong written & verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Fluent in English (written & spoken). Additional language(s) – Spanish, Portuguese, French – would be a plus
  • 20-30% travel in North America mainly (South America gradually)
