Our client with global headquarters in Europe, has engaged us in the search for an ambitious Manufacturing Operations Manager with strong leadership skills. Position

In this compelling and exciting position, as a valued member of the local management team, you will be responsible for Production, Quality Management and Purchasing. You will be given the opportunity to increase productivity and efficiency by analyzing, optimizing and documenting various business processes. You will be leading a team of 30 highly committed individuals and report directly to the President of the company. You will play a key role to execute the growth plan.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Plans, directs, and leads production, quality and purchasing with a focus on productivity, efficiency and safety
  • Directs, manages and develops employees and supervisors
  • Analyzes, optimizes and documents manufacturing processes (incl. ERP-System)
  • Evaluates and recommends purchase of all capital equipment and plant expansion
  • Improves capacity- and production planning
  • Fosters and maintains a high level of customer service through on-time deliveries, responsiveness to customer needs and ensuring that the quality of the shipped products meets all customer quality requirements
  • Improves and maintains preventive maintenance
  • Defines, implements and maintains KPI’s to increase productivity
  • Analyzes and improves inventory management
  • Implements ISO 9001
  • Negotiates with Unions

 Profile

  • S. in Manufacturing Engineering or Mechanical Engineering paired with a degree in Business Administration (preferred)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience of overall manufacturing experience in a leading role
  • Track record of building a high-performing team to succeed in growth-oriented atmosphere
  • Working knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
  • Proven project management, problem solving, and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated experience leading continuous improvement and change management activities
  • Familiar with ISO 9001
  • Strong experience with using ERP-Systems and implementing MRP-process
  • Exceptional interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills
  • Keen business acumen and attention to detail with a solid record of leading change and delivering superior business results
