About this Position
This is a great opportunity for a forward-thinking Managing Director to join a dynamic and rapidly growing company. As Managing Director, you’ll be responsible for the daily business operations of the company and overseeing the implementation of annual plans for all departments, including Sales, Marketing, Operations, Service & Support, and Finance. With your sound commercial background and driven business acumen, you understand market opportunities and can translate them into actionable business plans. You’ll be responsible for driving collaboration with key internal and external stakeholders while building processes to optimize organizational success. This position is based in Atlanta, Georgia, and reports to the CEO at the Danish HQ. Travel up to 1 week per month is expected, mostly domestic.
Main Tasks & Responsibilities
Sales Management
- Develop, drive, and grow the presence in the US market.
- Lead the direct sales teams to achieve profitable sales and growth goals for existing and new customers.
- Promoting a business culture and environment where sales and end-customer service come first.
- Assess market data and implement sales strategies; identify business opportunities and pinpoint problem areas.
- Ensure the company retains its competitive edge by keeping informed on industry news and trends, products, services, and competitors.
General Management
- Co-lead the American supporting functions in a matrix organization together with functional leaders from the Danish Headquarters
- Co-develop and implement a profitable operating model emphasizing minimum friction for the customer
- Develop and implement the strategic and tactical plan in cooperation with the CEO at HQ in Denmark to achieve the company’s mission, vision, and objectives.
- Prepare and manage annual business plan and budget, oversee sales, marketing, support, and operational activities, and take responsibility for the overall financial performance.
- Meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales targets based on key performance metrics.
- Review and analyze activities, costs, sales operations, and forecast data to measure progress toward set goals.

Your Profile
Your Work Experience, Education & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, or a related field. An MBA is preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of progressive management experience with a solid track record in growth.
- 5+ years of experience in business process improvement, transformation, or management consulting.
- Proven expertise in analyzing, designing, and implementing process optimization strategies.
- Minimum 5 years of proven experience with P&L responsibility in complex business settings
- Experience in building and scaling modern operations and in-depth knowledge of various business functions, processes, and operations (sales & marketing, customer service, logistics, supply chain, finance).
- Experience in working (and preferably leading) in a matrix organization.
- Experience working in international organizations with colleagues in non-American locations is preferable
- Outstanding communication skills and excellent stakeholder management skills.
- High integrity, accuracy, and efficiency in business development tasks resulting in the best possible team performance.
