The firm has an excellent reputation in its specific industry and is internationally active, primarily in the automotive industry. The regional headquarters in Moraine, OH covers sales, marketing and local manufacturing for the North American market.

Position

The maintenance department serves as the backbone for the entire company, providing maintenance for their metal stamping presses as well as their entire facility. This position is an excellent opportunity to utilize your maintenance background paired with your metal stamping experience and to demonstrate your leadership skills as you will oversee a team of 6 highly committed individuals.

You and your team will be responsible to ensure that production equipment operates efficiently by supervising and performing equipment maintenance, conduct and supervise preventive maintenance, conduct safety compliance inspections, purchase service of components used in the repair or preventive maintenance or equipment and facilities, and analyze and fix equipment failures. Additionally, you will support Kaizen/Lean Management activities and take the responsibility for facility maintenance.

In this role you will report directly to the Operations Manager.

Profile

  • 2-year degree in mechanical or electrical engineering
  • 10 years of experience working in a metal stamping environment
  • Experience with the maintenance of metal stamping equipment
  • Familiar with PLC’s such as Allen Bradly and/or Siemens (preferred)
  • Ability to read schematics (electrical, hydraulic, mechanical)
  • Familiar with Kaizen and Lean Management is a plus
  • Strong communication- and leadership skills paired with excellent organizational skills
  • Hands-on, driven, self-motivated, and high energy level
  • Flexible to work in a dynamic work environment with international exposure – team player
