General Manager – Industry 4.0
Location: Portland, Boston, remote would be considered. (International travel required).
Rapid growth and scale-up ambitions, our client is seeking a General Manager to oversee the North America region, taking responsibility for teams handling sales, operations, and marketing.
Your Role
As General Manager, you will be responsible for the overall performance of our commercial and operational teams and play a key role in our clients’ growth strategy. Reporting Head of Sales and Operations will report to you directly (including Data Architects and Consultants), and with the support of the marketing team, you will ensure alignment across commercial, marketing, and operational strategies to achieve our client’s ambitious goals. You will represent our vision both internally and externally, embodying our values and ambitions.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Responsibility for the Americas Region: Define and execute the growth strategy for the region to optimize revenue and market share while ensuring business development in the Americas.
- Team Leadership: Manage, motivate, and structure the sales, operations, and marketing teams to ensure high performance and efficient processes.
- Strategic Development: Lead market development initiatives to strengthen our position in Europe and the Middle East, optimize resources, and identify growth opportunities.
- Influence and Collaboration: Work with strategic departments (R&D, product, customer support, etc.) to ensure total synergy in achieving common objectives.
- Performance Management: Establish clear KPIs and ensure accurate reporting to measure the effectiveness of actions and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Brand Ambassador: Promote our client’s vision, solutions, and expertise to major clients, strategic partners, and the industrial ecosystem as a whole.
Desired Profile
Qualifications and Experience
- Education: Master’s degree from a top business or engineering school.
- Experience: Proven experience in driving revenue growth for a company in the industrial sector, preferably involving enterprise solutions sales. A strong track record or comfort with the industrial sector is essential, as well as a solid understanding of the impact of digital transformation and industrial culture.
- Fluent English: Proficiency in English is mandatory; international work experience is a plus.
- Industry Expertise: Deep knowledge of Industry 4.0 challenges, software solutions, and the services sector.
