On behalf of our client, ISO Group, we are currently seeking a General Manager with a commercial, industrial and technical background. A pragmatic leader who has the entrepeneurship, drive, and management capabilities to help set up, build, and grow the company’s operations in North America.. The position is based at the new U.S. location in the Richmond, VA area.

In the GM role, you will be responsible to build a high quality Sales and Service team in the US and Canada. You will help the company entry into and develop new additional market segments (continuous activity) with products and systems based on the company’s unique technology and adapt to local customer needs. You will work closely with the headquarters to develop a tailored strategy to realize long-term potential and build a motivated organization capable of realizing it’s potential and further accelerating growth.

Your direct final responsibility involves the US/Canada operating territory and you will reporting to the Group CEO in Europe.



  • Build, lead, and manage the sales and service team.
  • Drive sales, and develop people by effectively communicating successes and opportunities and monitoring progress.
  • Identify market opportunities and achieve them according to a structured and pragmatic approach.
  • Manage a phased entry into new market segments and continued development of current market segments.
  • Make contractual arrangements, and enter into contracts, including long-term (license) agreements with technology clients for clearly defined and established customer groups.
  • Organize and implement the installation process, largely with suppliers; leading the installation and service processes, practically and pragmatically.
  • Full P&L responsibility for the US subsidary.

  • BS degree in Engineering; Mechanical Engineering preferred.
  • MBA a plus.
  • 10+ Years of management experience incl. P&L
  • Experience in both mechanical engineering and in a service organization.
  • Familiarity with and experience in the AGRI sector a big plus.
  • Familiar with a technical, commercial project management organization in a B2B environment.
  • Affinity with installation technology is a plus.
  • Experience in the design and implementation of recurring business models.
  • Experience with start-up and growth of a sales and service organization is highly desired.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills, internal and external with customers and business partners and suppliers.
  • A team builder and motivator with excellent communication skills
  • A team player, both in the US and in collaboration with colleagues in the Netherlands.
  • Willing/flexibility for frequent travel, primarily nationwide.
