Our client

Our client is an international company and a leader in designing and manufacturing components and systems for the regulation and metering of natural gas. The company operates in the gas pressure regulation and control equipment sector, serving industrial clients, utilities, and distributors. The U.S. subsidiary is located in Weirton, West Virginia.

 

The role and the responsibilities

 

The Financial Controller will be responsible for the full oversight of administrative, accounting, financial, and management control activities for PF USA. The role ensures the accurate financial representation of the company, full compliance with U.S. regulations (US GAAP, IRS, Sales Tax, etc.), and supports the company’s strategic decision‑making.

  • Manage the full accounting cycle in accordance with US GAAP.
  • Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.
  • Prepare and review Annual Financial Statements, Cash Flow statements, and Management Reporting.
  • Handle all tax‑related activities (IRS, State Tax, Sales Tax, Property Tax) in collaboration with an external CPA firm and audits.
  • Prepare periodic forecasts.
  • Analyze variances vs. forecast and monitor financial and operational KPIs.
  • Analyze industrial costs, standard costs, inventory valuation, and ensure inventory accuracy.

Finance & Treasury

 

  • Manage cash flow and optimize working capital.
  • Maintain relationships with U.S. banking institutions.
  • Supervise credit management processes and AR collection.
  • Control vendor payments, general expenses, and capital expenditures.

Payroll & HR

 

  • Ensure compliance in payroll administration and accuracy in tax and contribution payments.
  • Supervises payroll processing.
  • Manage employee benefits programs (cost/benefit analysis → health care, 401(k), auxiliary benefits).
  • Coordinate temporary staffing agencies.
  • Oversee expense report management.

 

Role Requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 5–10 years of experience in accounting/finance roles within industrial or manufacturing environments.
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • US GAAP and U.S. tax regulations
    • Industrial processes (cost accounting, SKU margin, standard cost)
    • Forecasting and financial planning
  • Proficiency with ERP systems (preferably JDE, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
  • Leadership and team‑management capabilities.
  • Strong analytical mindset and results orientation.
  • Ability to work independently within an international environment.
  • Effective problem‑solving and communication skills, including interaction with Italian HQ.
