FINANCIAL CONTROLLER

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Financial Controller will perform functions of internal control and assure, that local business and transactions are conducted in compliance with Group Policies and Delegation Authorities. You will handle high-level and managerial accounting and oversee the financial activities of the US Subsidiary.

You will report to the Head of the Corporate Administration department and will assist with the development of internal control policies, procedures, and financial planning as needed

 

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

 

Developing and managing financial controls by GAAP / IFRS regulations and with the company’s procedures to ensure the protection of company assets.

Monitoring and analysis of intercompany movements within the group detecting deviations and proposing adjustments for their correction.

Reconciling bank statements and vendor accounts

Elaborating accurate P&L Forecast

Providing leadership and support to the accounting staff.

Preparing monthly and quarterly financial statements for the senior management team, the lenders, and the HQ.

Reconciling and analyzing general ledger accounts. This includes the preparation of accrual and adjusting journal entries.

Overseeing the tax compliance for the local entities (State level)

Ability to provide accurate reports (cash flow & financial accounting) for Tax Equity Investors and back levered lenders..

 

 

WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU

Your Work Experience & Education

  • 5+ years of experience on similar position on accounting/controlling , ideally in a similar role.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
  • Ability to work closely with the senior management team.
  • Advanced computer skills, specifically in Excel.
  • Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
  • Knowledge of SAP and Navision will be a plus.
  • Must be flexible to constant change and well organized with the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize, exceptional attention to detail.
  • Spanish will be a plus
