Our client, Westrup, is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install, maintain, and train customers on seed and grain processing machinery, to optimize performance and ensure product quality. About this Position
As a Field Service Engineer, you will install and commission new machines in close cooperation with customers and partners. On existing installations, you will make sure the customers’ business runs smoothly by performing service and repair tasks. Westrup is also partnering with suppliers of equipment, and you will be trained to provide installation and repair on this equipment too. Westrup values knowledge sharing, and you will provide customer training and guidance on the best use of the equipment. Westrup also values knowledge sharing internally, and you will become part of the global service team in this respect. This role reports directly to the General Manager. Approx. 150 days of travel annually across North America and occasionally to Europe is expected.

Key Responsibilities & Tasks
- Install new machines and overhaul existing machines at customers’ facilities
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment as needed
- Train customers on equipment usage
- Provide customer service and support in cooperation with the global team
- Make decisions independently when needed, while also being a team player, building business
- Plan, arrange, and execute service jobs
Your Profile
Your Education & Work Experience
- A background as a millwright, machinist, blacksmith, or similar
- Experience with mechanical field service, repair jobs, and basic welding skills
- Holds a forklift qualification
- Basic computer skills
- Willingness to travel approximately. 100-200 days annually (domestic and occasionally internationally)

- A passion for machines and controls, including automation systems
- Proactive and sales-oriented (for spares and service offerings)
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to work independently
