District Sales Manager

Location: Remote – Based in the Nashville or Knoxville, TN Area
Territory: Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi
Travel: Regional auto travel (up to 80%) with occasional overnight travel

Position Overview:
Our client is seeking a District Sales Manager to drive growth and deepen market share across TN, AL, and MS. This role is responsible for developing new business opportunities, strengthening key accounts, and supporting distribution partners throughout the region. The position reports to the Regional Sales Manager.
Objectives:
- Develop and execute a territory sales strategy to achieve order and revenue growth targets
- Identify and cultivate new customers while expanding relationships with existing key accounts
- Support distribution partners through technical training, demonstrations, quotes, and product updates
- Maintain accurate forecasting and pipeline management within Salesforce CRM
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, customer support, and product teams to ensure strong customer outcomes
- Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities within the assigned region
Requirements:
- Demonstrated success in outside sales, ideally within dimensional metrology, precision measurement, or industrial capital equipment
- Experience managing and growing a defined sales territory independently
- Technical aptitude with the ability to present complex measurement solutions in a consultative manner
- Experience supporting distribution channels or manufacturer representative networks preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field preferred
- Self-motivated and comfortable operating from a home office environment
- Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned region
